At Michelle Evans Counseling, our mission is to provide high-quality counseling services to individuals ages 14 and up who are experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties in an individual counseling setting.
Michelle is dedicated to helping her clients achieve their goals and improve their mental health and well-being in counseling sessions.
Michelle earned her Master's in School Counseling from Sam Houston State University. Michelle has worked in schools, both elementary and high school, as a school counselor for 10 years. She completed her LPC course requirements through Midwestern State Univeristy. Michelle is an LPC-Associate, under the clinical supervision of Amanda Whisenhunt, LPC-S (68634).
When Michelle is not working with clients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and kids at their various sporting events. She also values her physical self by exercising daily.

Our belief to therapy is to meet you, the client, where you are! Michelle will take a client-centered approach to counseling, where she will work collaboratively with you to identify your goals and work together to create a personalized plan for treatment.
Michelle has experience in the following areas: anxiety, self esteem, relationship issues, depression, grief, academic and behavior issues, life transitions, parenting, and stress management.
Michelle is an LGBTQIA+ ally. All of her clients will be treated with respect and support throughout their journey.

The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct committed by marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, psychologists, psychological associates, social workers, and licensed specialists in school psychology.
Although not ever complaint against or dispute with a licensee involves professional misconduct, the Executive Council will provide you with information about how to file a complaint.
